We are thrilled to share with our beautiful community the victory of the Bluffton Middle School’s soccer team from Beaufort County. This team is composed of 20 children with big dreams and aspirations, who hope to become part of the world’s best soccer teams. After competing against 10 teams from local schools for 2 months, they made it to the final and achieved the long-awaited victory.
These teams are selected at the beginning of each school year through strict and rigorous trials that last for 4 days, until the final team is formed. They then practice and condition themselves as a group for 4 days a week in preparation for the school soccer tournament. It’s worth noting that this team was under the coaching and guidance of Professor Tony Facenda from the aforementioned school.

The season lasts for two months, during which the children have the opportunity to travel and visit various schools in the county. Every effort has its reward, and the school recognizes them as the winning team and acknowledges the most outstanding athletes of the season, to keep motivating them to continue with this beautiful sport.
Many of these children are part of local club teams, which help complement their athletic development. These types of activities encourage young people to lead a healthy lifestyle, work towards their goals, and realize that with effort, anything they set their minds to can be achieved. Soccer provides them with plenty of enjoyment, opportunities to bond, and the chance to have many adventure companions, thus forming tight-knit families united by the sport.
We urge our young ones to become part of these wonderful activities that they can enjoy in our schools and local clubs.
