The beginning of a new year is approaching and therefore many people reflect on what happened during the stage that is about to end to make New Year’s resolutions, objectives or resolutions. But if we are honest, many of us do not really manage to fulfill everything that we define, for this reason, today we want to leave you some tips so that you can design intentions that are realistic and achievable throughout the new year:
1. Set intentions instead of resolutions: The intentions have to do with “being” while resolutions have to do with “doing”. In general, many of us try to make New Year’s resolutions marked by social patterns that we want to fulfill: lose weight, go to the gym, start a course, save money, travel, change habits, etc. On the contrary, when you intend to do something, you focus on ideals of how you want to live your life and you set goals that you want to achieve so that your being feels fulfilled and happy.

2. Self-evaluate: Most of the resolutions we set for ourselves fail because we may not deeply understand the behavior we are trying to change. Therefore, when you carry out your intentions, avoid focusing on external conditioning and focus on looking inward, this allows you to connect with a true desire for change that will help you stay motivated so that you can get out of your comfort zone.
3. Be compassionate with yourself: When you look back on the past year to evaluate what you did and set your intentions, it is important to be compassionate with yourself. Don’t judge yourself for what you think you did wrong, on the contrary, try to focus on what are the priorities you have in your life and the goals you want to achieve. Making a list of compassionate New Year’s wishes is a wonderful way to start.
Do you think it is more important to make intentions for the New Year or do you think it is more convenient to look for growth opportunities throughout the year? We invite you to ask yourself this question so that you can close this Year 2022 with a flourish and enthusiastically receive the New Year 2023.
Happy New Year!
