Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day

Every fall, Americans gather with family and friends to commemorate brotherhood, sisterhood, and gratitude by sharing a delicious dinner. This special day is Thanksgiving, an occasion that allows us to spend time with our loved ones and express gratitude for all the blessings received.

In many homes, there is a tradition of sharing during Thanksgiving dinner a thought about what each one is grateful for. However, we can overlook sending greetings or thoughts about the many reasons why we are grateful to those with whom we share our daily lives and who are not present at dinner. For this reason, we invite you to pause to think about those people you want to thank for something on this special date. Share a written message of congratulations or thanks to those friends, family, or co-workers who mean the most to you, or to those family members who are far away and can’t join you for Thanksgiving dinner.

If you don’t know quite what to write, you can use common messages and personalize them with your own wishes: Don’t be afraid to express your feelings, and create a Thanksgiving blessing that makes the recipient smile. Keep in mind how much it will mean to someone to receive a tangible reminder of your love and gratitude, surely expressing your gratitude will make this time very meaningful for you and for whoever receives your message.

La Isla Magazine thanks all of our beloved Hispanic Community that supports us unconditionally month after month. Without you our work would not be possible.
