With the start of summer, vacations, and Father’s Day, June is a month full of activities.
But it is also important to remember that it is the beginning of hurricane season, so it is essential to start preparing. We are at a time when inflation is through the roof, and there are shortages of some essentials, so I recommend that you do not leave your evacuation plan and necessary things to the last minute in case you decide to stay. We hope that this year nothing happens and you can continue enjoying this summer.
On the other hand, remember to review the calendar of activities for this edition so that you are aware of what the Lowcountry has to offer.
And we cannot leave Father’s Day aside, it is time to pay tribute to fathers for their great work, for the love, dedication, and effort they have had with their children.
The “Mother Teresa of Calcutta” in a poem left the following reflection to the parents.
You will teach to fly,
but they will not fly your flight.
You will teach to dream,
but they will not dream your dream.
You will teach to live,
but they will not live your life.
in each flight,
in each life,
in each dream,
of the path taught will always remain.
Happy Father’s Day, we wish you the best from La Isla Magazine team.
